Family caregivers have a hard job with long hours, stress and other difficulties.

Qualicum Beach writer Janet Dunnett tells of the experiences and hardships she and her twin sister faced in their 10-year task of caring for their aging and fragile parents - constant travel, worrying from a distance and the personal struggles that come with the job.

But the author of The Dwindling: A Daughter's Caregiving Journey to the Edge of Life also finds that through the hardship comes tenderness and appreciation.

Join Janet at First Met as she discusses the challenges and rewards of caregiving in today's world. This is a free event open to the public. Registration is not required.
