First Met presents another doubleheader with two films. Please join us in the Chapel.

1:30 p.m.: The Secret Life of Bees - Queen Latifah heads a stellar cast in this portrayal of life in rural South Carolina in 1964. To escape her angry father and discover truth about her late mother's past, 14-year-old Lily Owens flees with her caregiver and friend to a South Carolina town where she is taken in by  the bee-keeping Boatwright sisters. Surrounded by unexpected love and spirituality Lily forms a bond with each of these uniquely gifted women and discovers that sometimes you must leave home in order to find it.

7:30 p.m.: All Saints - A faith-based movie inspired by a true story. A former paper salesman (Michael) who's recently followed his calling to be a pastor gets his first big assignment. The diocese sends him, and his family, to All Saints, a church that is broke and where membership is dwindling. He is there to inventory the property and oversee its sale to make way for a big-box store. A week from demolition, dozens of refugees from war-torn Burma arrive with no money and no place to go. Michael believes he hears the voice of God telling him to fight for All Saints by having the refugees stay and farm the land around it, providing them with food and shelter and creating income for the church.
