 As we rejoice in a return to greater freedom in our lives, thanks to easing of covid restrictions, there still is much need to reach out to the members of the “Our Place Family” who face many life challenges. One way is to give a Christmas gift and message to someone who may find the winter holiday season a particularly difficult time.

Our Place’s Angel Gift program is up and running, with a new coordinator - Maria Green, Manager of Wellness Services at Our Place. Here at First Met, Penny Bond continues to be this church’s Angel Gift coordinator. The format is different this year - to participate, you need to register, then you will receive information and instructions about purchasing and wrapping your gifts. Our Place will provide names and information about our recipients, which Penny will distribute to the donors.  Registration of gift donors can be done in person, or by email or phone.

Please note that the First Met office is not involved in taking registrations. The deadline for registration is Sunday, November 27, and the wrapped gifts must be returned to First Met by Sunday, December 11. 

There will be collection boxes in the Sanctuary on Sundays, November 20 and 27. You also may drop off gifts at the First Met office.
