St. John the Divine Social Justice and Action Group is hosting two presentations by public health and ecological educators and advocates with extensive knowledge of the problem and who are organizing to address it followed by discussion:

Thursday, November 7, 7:00 to 8:30 pm - "Welcome to the Anthropocene: Towards a One Planet Region," a talk by Dr. Trevor Hancock, Professor of Public Health and Senior Researcher, University of Victoria.

Thursday, December 5, 7:00 to 8:30 pm - "Environmental Violence: Trying to Understand, Confront, and Reduce our Damages," a talk by Dr. Rick Kool, Professor of Environment and Sustainability, Royal Roads University.

Both sessions will be held at St John the Divine Anglican Church, 1611 Quadra Street, in the Denson Lounge.  Tea, coffee and cookies will be served.
