Light a candle for a guaranteed livable income

On Thursday, April 8, at 12.30 p.m. on the eve of the Liberal National Convention, the United Church of Canada will be inviting Canadians across the country to light a candle in support of a guaranteed livable income, often referred to as the guaranteed basic income.

The COVID-19 pandemic has heightened the importance of health and well-being of the entire community and exposed the cracks in the current economic situation.
