Our presenter this month is our own Dr. Rennie Warburton, Professor Emeritus, Department of Sociology at UVic. Rennie will speaking on the topic 'Becoming and Being a Sociologist.
 
Rennie Warburton, B.A. (Leeds), Ph.D (London School of Economics), Professor Emeritus, University of Victoria. Taught sociology at UVic from 1965-2003. Co-editor of "Workers, Capital and the State in BC," UBC Press 1988. Published articles and book chapters on racism in BC history, multiculturism in Canada, Canadian aboriginal politics, nationalism in Canada and Switzerland, class relations of BC public school teachers, class and gender in nursing, holiness religion in Britain, Mormonism on Vancouver Island and religion, sociology and liberation.
