Email and internet scams never seem to go away. Another warning to beware of emails seeking money or gift cards, or which just seem unusual - particularly from people you know. If the message doesn't seem right, pick up the phone and talk to the person. Ask if they have actually sent the email.
There have been several cases lately of fake messages seeming to come from clergy and other church personnel. Please do not respond to these. Neither First Met nor other United churches solicit financial support for any causes in this manner.
