Please donate to the Aid for Ukraine campaign. All contributions will be directed to regional organizations in Ukraine which support refugees fleeing their homes and all people in need. Funds will be forwarded to Caritas Ukraine, via the Catholic Near East Welfare Association charity.

A generous family at St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Ukrainian Catholic church, our North Park meighbour, will match all donations up to $500,000. Make cheques payable to "St. Nicholas church" with the memo "Aid for Ukraine." You can also donate cash or via e-transfer to [email protected]. Tax receipts will be issued by CNEWA (and you also donate directly through CNEWA).

First Met families toll our church bell at 12 noon each day in support of all people affected by the conflict in Ukraine. All who hear the bell are asked to stop and pray for those who are in the midst of the Ukraine invasion.

On Sunday, February 27, Shelagh MacKinnon, Lead Minister and Edeana Malcolm, Board Chair visited St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Ukrainian Catholic Church at the corner of Cook and Caledonia with a bouquet of sunflowers and a card offering our prayers in solidarity with Ukraine.
