The North Park Neighbourhood Association weekly grocery program needs a volunteer driver to join a team of about a dozen other drivers. First Met is pleased to be associated with the weekly progrm whuch operates out of the Fellowship Hall. 

Here are the details:

Program: Weekly Grocery Hamper Program

Time commitment: Every Thursday from 9:30am-12:00pm. Weekly availability is preferred, but we are happy to accommodate your schedule if you are only available most Thursdays. This role could also be shared between 2/3 people on a rotating schedule.

Requirements: access to a vehicle (4 door sedan or larger), ability to lift and carry heavy boxes, time, love of food security programs and community

Description of the role:  Every Thursday at 9:30am, drive to the Wholesale Club at 846 Viewfield Road. Park in the "PC Express Pick up" spot, call the number on the sign and let them know you're there to pick up the NPNA online order. Help the Wholesale Club staff member load your vehicle. Drive to 932 Balmoral Road where the hamper program takes place. Unload your vehicle with the help of other volunteers and a big cart. Help sort and create the hampers. That's it!
