Members of the First Met Sunday School rang the church bell 93 times at 11am, Sunday, Jan. 30, in recognition of the discovery of 93 possible graves at a former residential school site in Williams Lake.

The latest discovery reminds us again that we need to do more than be sorry and read an apology. As stated by the Pacific Mountain Region of the United Church of Canada, we need to take seriously the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. We need to act on the Calls to the Church. We need to live the apology. We need to lead the work of healing in our communities. We need to listen to Indigenous siblings and respond to their calls.
