The next Flatlander walk will start from the Selkirk Green Park which is sheltered from the wind and has benches.  As a group we will walk along the Gorge and the Inner Harbour on paved paths or sidewalks until we reach the Boom and Batten cafe and restaurant with outdoor seating, possibly seeing otters along the way. The shorter walk back to Selkirk Green Park will be mostly on sidewalks. There is also a turnaround point part way into the walk with a bakery/cafe stop as well. Wearing layers of clothing is recommended due to the cold winds off the water.

Directions: The Selkirk Green Park is on Waterfront Crescent and can be reached from the intersection of Gorge and Jutland. Go straight through the intersection if driving on Jutland from Douglas; turn right onto Jutland if driving on Gorge from Tillicum; turn left onto Jutland if driving on Gorge from Douglas.

Very quickly, you will come up to a roundabout. Take the first exit (right turn as if it was an intersection). You are on Waterfront Crescent. Start looking for street parking or a parking spot in a lot near the water for unlimited parking. If you end up going all the way around the crescent without finding a parking spot, you will reach another roundabout that you can go fully around to get back onto Waterfront Crescent. Call the organizer at the number provided when you confirm your attendance and you will be able to park in the underground garage right next to Selkirk Place.

To confirm your attendance or to find out more about this walk, please email the organizer Liane Clark.
