3/ to give and teach tools to our children and youth, core beliefs, and practices of the United Church
First Met Outdoor Sunday school will continue on these dates:
Aug. 9, Aug. 23, Aug. 30
Please enter through the Quadra Street gate and join us for some outdoor fun! Bring a blanket or camp chairs, and gather in your household group, 2 meters from other groups.
Our summertime theme is our New Creed – with hands-on creativity!
Scripture: Matthew 11: 28 – 30
28 “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. 30For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.” (Good News Translation)
Family talk: You know that a yoke is the yellow part of an egg, but what type of yoke is Jesus talking about? What is he asking us to do?
We offer a wide range of youth-focused worship events, Sunday School classes, youth groups and programs for children and parents, youth and young adults, including leadership development opportunities.
