July 30: Thanks for the memories!

First Metropolitan United Church celebrated its final service as a separate congregation on July 30 before starting a new and exciting chapter as a part of Broad View United Church.

 Congregants present and past helped celebrate what this community of people has meant to them and what they accomplished together. The occasion was a time to remember the journey, name the saints who have graced our community, to rejoice in all that the community of First Met has been and to tell our sacred stories as well as to look forward.

A special part of the service was a video remembering the legacy of First Metropolitan (click the highlighted link). The service was followed by a luncheon.

We look forward to welcoming Broad View folks to our first service together on August 6, followed by 'Sundae Sunday'.
