We are initiating a fundraising campaign to raise $45,000 to cover the cost of a special piece of indigenous artwork, the artist and the installation of the amazing piece in in our new church site.

The reconciliation team and the Board for BVU would like the whole congregation to feel some ownership and investment in this significant artwork and central symbol of our ongoing commitment to the work of Reconciliation.

Our goal is to raise this money as a part of our support and commitment to Reconciliation and the calls to the church of the Truth and Reconcilation Commission.

Cheques and E-transfers should have “TRC Art” in the subject line and made out to Broad View United or e-transfered to office@broadviewunited.com. If you wish to contribute via Canada Helps, please click HERE. Then, select "Donate Once" and dedicate your contribution to "TRC Art". We are excited to share this project with you.

Participation in the work of Reconciliation is a key value for BVU and FM. Early in 2023, the Reconciliation team, some members of the redesign group and some staff met with local Indigenous artist Rande Cook (see photo above) to commission an art piece that would be located in a central part of the renovated church site and be an invitation to continue the conversation and work of Reconciliation.
