To get involved in the community or learn about volunteer opportunities here at First Met, please see Volunteer Opportunities and Community Resources at left side of page.

Mindfulness Programs

Mindfulness courses and workshops are often offered in the Fall and Winter. Learning how to incorporate mindfulness into everyday life is an effective way to maintain mental and physical health, as well as cultivate a calm and peaceful mind.

We are currently unable to offer any mindfulness programs. Please see the links below if you would like to learn more on how to cultivate mindfulness into your daily life.

Mindful Self-Compassion

Wellness Programs

First Met embraces a holistic understanding of wellness that includes six dimensions: physical, spiritual, mental/emotional, intellectual, environmental and social. Promoting personal wellness and healing has been central to Christianity from the beginning.

We offer programs on topics such as healthy eating, end of life care, support groups, and health counselling.

We also support health and wellness events in the community.  See Events - Vancouver Island Health Authority; Institute on Aging and Lifelong Health (University of Victoria) for more information.
